The 5 common mistakes with consumption of dietary supplements

One, who starts with the fitness sports, tends to happily use the supplements as soon as possible because that is what everybody else is doing! We want to show you the five typical errors in the consumption of supplements so that you do not make the same mistake.

No 1 - The problem with the dosage

Many athletes, especially those who have just decided to start training, tend to incorrectly measure the dose of their nutritional supplements. Most often, the old saying "more is better" is used, which of course is complete nonsense. There are tons of protein, caffeine, liquid amino acids, dextrose drinks, creatine, etc. thrown in and one later wonders why the body has to deal with highly impure skin and over the years, with cardiovascular problems and much more caused due to such irresponsible ingestion levels. Often the connection to food is lost or is not at all thought about, causing an excessive intake of the dietary supplement XY in the body or how it reacts to a permanent consumption. Besides the problem of "too much" of a nutrient, 15-20% of supplements in the German market also are contaminated, making them all the more intolerable for the body. Of course, there are athletes who under-dose the supplements and thus miss the action.

No 2 - The wrong choice of supplements

Nowadays the selection of food supplements is not easy. Years ago, the number of supplements was still manageable while today you would definitely lose the track while choosing. Therefore, the question is what to buy and importantly of what Company to buy? The price is usually a factor while making a choice of the supplements and then comes the brand. Manufacture or composition of the products unfortunately often plays only a minor role. Besides, quite often, wrong product is chosen at the beginning of the training. One who starts with the weight training, definitely needs a good diet first and not tons of supplements like creatine, boosters etc.

No 3 - The wrong administration time!

The administration time of products plays an important role, because many of them rely on it to get its desired "effect". Unfortunately, there will always be athletes, who, for example, consume creatine right after a big meal or first take Booster during the training. Please always get informed about when a product is to be taken and then follow the routine.

No 4 - Simply too much!

As already mentioned in point 1, generally, not only the dosage but also the intake is completely exaggerated. Too much is simply too much. With high consumption, you will not only quickly wreck your body but also your wallet. As if the supplements were very cheap, quite often it seems that the one, who takes various supplements and also pays attention to appropriate quality, will soon discover at the end of the month that he invested quite a bit on his supplements. Always try to remember that these are supplements, they are to "supplement" your diet and not to replace it. For example, the nutrients, that you can not possibly consume daily or substances which are not found isolated in natural products can be taken through supplements. Practical time management, preparation, etc. also play a major role. However, it should revolve around your diet and and supplements should only be secondary.

No 5 - The quality is neglected for the price!

One, who goes to stores to buy supplements or even visits online stores, will probably find one offer or another, wherever he looks - one product cheaper than the other. You should however not get fooled by them. The compositions are often very similar; however, the quality is not the same. You should pay close attention to who the manufacturer is and and its location, etc. A look at the Cologne List would not hurt! Of course, it does not have to be an overpriced product. Important thing is, it is easy to obtain information about the products, just as you should do it for food.

Conclusion

The consumption of dietary supplements is not really difficult if you deal with a product and are aware about its quality. Price should not be the most important thing for you, and instead, you should ALWAYS first optimize the natural diet and not let yourself overwhelmed with supplements, because that can also sometimes have rapid negative effects on your body. If you want to use supplements, then please try to plan a conscious, intelligent and appropriate use.
